This Sunday, Palm Sunday, begins the holies week of the church year. We recall Jesus' entrance into Jerusalem, then His Last Supper with the Apostles, and finally His suffering and death on the cross. Since we can't celebrate fully at the church, here are some ways that you can make it HOLY in your homes.

Palm Sunday (April 5, 2020)

•   Do a Palm Sunday Procession in your neighborhood. Use the opening Rite found in the Magnificat here
• Watch "The Passion of the Christ" (Only appropriate for high school and older
• Read "The Donkey that No One Could Ride" for younger kids

Holy Thursday (April 9, 2020)

• Wash the feet of someone in your family. This is an imitation of Jesus' own humble service, which all of us Christians are called to
• Visit the church to be with Jesus in the Eucharist. He will be reposed in the tabernacle until 12midnight

Good Friday (April 10, 2020) 

• Day of Fasting and Abstinence from meat
• The Passion of the Christ with Stations led by Fr. Devin at https://zoom.us/j/844693564
• Good Friday Service at 3:00pm on our Facebook/ YouTube channel
• Spend extra time in silence, away from technology to sacrifice in union with Jesus on the cross

Holy Saturday

• No Mass here at OLG for the Easter Vigil, but you can watch at St. Mary's Newton Facebook page
• Spent it in the quiet with Jesus in the tomb.

Easter Sunday (April 12,2020)

• Dress up in your Sunday best and take a family photo
• Mass at 9:00am with our WHOLE parish family
• CELEBRATE! Rejoice in the resurrection with your family and lots of food
• Holy Water and "Easter Candles" wll be available in the foyer after Mass. 

This is a unique opportunity to celebrate Holy Week. Let's use it to allow the light of Christ to shine brightly in our lives and homes.
