At the death of a pope, an official nine-day mourning period, known as the "novemdiales" traditionally follows. Please feel free to download the novena and offer prayers for the repose of Pope Francis' soul during this time. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. Amen
